In the far future, Earth is attacked by a power hungery alien empress by the name of Tenkou. Killing millions, and reducing the land to a mere island, Tenkou gains rule over the Earth. One torn soul, by the name of Etsuko is caught in this attack, being blinded and losing her family. In rage, the five year old Etsuko swears her revenge. Twelve years later, Etsuko is found by the Kamali (spirit protector) dagger, which takes her soul and gives her the power to kill Tenkou. The Kamali gives Etsuko the name "Atsumi", and will aid her in her revenge. However, Tenkou has one card up her sleeve. His name is Kiyoshi, the last of the violent race, Miden. The quiet and mysterious Kiyoshi, reluctantly has joined Tenkou's forces and is now trying to kill the "angel of revenge".

Atsumi: Angel of Vengence was the rewrite of "Aranxta: Angel of Thieves". The story is generally the same, dispite the many name changes of the characters, and the darker tone it's taken. None of the characters have yet been redrawn, but are in the process, just be patient.
